As our Diesel Mechanic you will preventive maintenance services and inspects, diagnoses and repairs on a variety of heavy-duty Diesel vehicles and equipment. You will support all aspects of the mechanical repair and maintenance of vehicles, machines, equipment and facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
  • Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
  • Works under limited supervision.
  • Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Company / OSHA Standards and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
  • Estimates time and material costs on vehicle repairs and requisitions new parts.
  • Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.
  • Conducts annual safety checks on vehicles.
  • Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
  • Reviews, completes or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports

Qualifications

  • Experience: One (1) years of relevant work experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
