    08/10/2022 Lake Washington School Districtis looking for qualified Director of Talent Acquisition candidates. The contract for this position will cover the 22-23 school year.
    POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of Talent Acquisition provides strategic leadership and management of the District’s full life cycle recruiting functions, strategies, and procedures for certificated & classified positions. Critical to achieving excellent hiring outcomes, is the ability to build strong relationships and deliver results in a rapidly and constantly evolving environment. The Director will partner with the Office of Equity and Family Engagement and other leaders to embed equity and diversity principles and practices within hiring and retention strategies to further our goal of a workforce that mirrors our student demographics. The efforts of the Director will be key to positioning LWSD as an employer of choice where staff of all backgrounds thrive. This position reports to the Executive Director of Human Resources – Talent Acquisition & Management and supervises HR staff as assigned. Please see attached job description for additional details.
    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
    • Bachelors’ degree (i.e. BA, BS) in Human Resources or a related field is required. Graduate degree strongly preferred.
    • Minimum of four (4) years’ experience working in human resources, recruitment, education, or related field is required.
    • Three to five (3-5) years’ experience at a managerial level, or other relevant experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and ability required to effectively supervise personnel and manage complex projects, is required.
    • Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in human resources functions in a public education setting.
    Salary: Director Level 3 – $183,190 per year, 261 days. This is an exempt position. Full benefit package included.

    Application Procedure: This position is open to internal & external applicants. All Applicants should submit an online application, letter of interest speciifc to the position, resume and two letters of recommendation. These documents should be uploaded to the application. Applicants will be asked to provide contact information for three references, including the current or most recent supervisor – these references will be asked to complete a confidential reference survey.
    Immigration Reform and Control Act Requirement: All new employees are required by law to submit documentation to Human Resources proving eligibility to work in the USA by completing an employment eligibility form within three days of employment.
    Applicant Disclosure Statement: Pursuant to Chapter 486, Laws of 1987, all applicants must complete the disclosure form provided by Human Resources at the time of application.
    Background Check on Recommended Candidate: A reference check inquiry will also be made by Human Resources on recommended candidates. According to 1992 legislation ESHB 2518, all school employees with regularly scheduled unsupervised access to children are required to have a criminal background check, which includes fingerprints.
    COVID Vaccination Policy: All LWSD employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Failure to submit proof of vaccination or qualify for a reasonable accommodation will result in withdrawal of a job offer.
