Lake Michigan Credit Union is Hiring a Remote Social Media Ad Buyer

SUMMARY: The Social Media Ad Buyer role is responsible for developing and administrating paid and organic content for LMCU’s social media platforms to help us tell our brand story, increase engagement, and grow our audience. This role is focused heavily on paid social campaigns and supports all LMCU business units to generate social media campaigns and content that are on brand and meet objectives while resonating with appropriate audiences. This role works alongside the social and greater eConnect teams to promote organic social content, contests and community relations events. This Social Media Ad Buyer collaborates with various stakeholders across the organization in ensuring LMCU’s social media channels provide engaging content, exhibit responsiveness, and drive awareness to align social media with organizational goals, including marketing, human resources, and community relations initiatives. RESPONSIBILITIES: Is a subject matter expert in paid social strategy and latest trends and able to advise LMCU business units and stakeholders on best practices. Responsible for initiating, monitoring, optimizing and analyzing social paid ad campaigns across all platforms. Works with business units and the eConnect design and front-end dev teams as necessary to set up campaigns and appropriate tracking. Closely monitors social media campaigns and organic content initiatives against industry, platform and organizational benchmarks, and recommends and implements changes as necessary to optimize performance. Works closely with the eConnect team to develop and support organic social media initiatives, including contributing new ideas, helping drive our social strategy forward, content calendar development and organization, and assistance with execution and monitoring. Is a key member of a team that monitors social media activity and correspondence and is highly responsive in a manner that is professional, attentive, considerate, accurate, genuine and always reflective of LMCU’s core values and culture. This includes public comments and posts, private messages, and online reviews. Assists in crisis communications as needed, working closely with eConnect, Marketing, Community Relations and leadership. Occasionally assists with other corporate communication needs. Assist with photography, video (including self-captured video plus partnering with LMCU’s marketing video team), and graphic design that can be utilized on LMCU’s social media channels. Preferred Education and Experience: Courtesy, tact and responsiveness are essential elements of the job. A college degree in digital media, marketing, communications, advertising, public relations or a related field is preferred. 3 years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience. Prior experience in a position administering paid social media content is required. Experience with social content management software (Hootsuite, Sprout, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite required.
