Lake Erie Tobacco is Hiring a Quality Control Technician Near Kill Buck, NY

Description

· Required to perform all quality related functions in Primary and Secondary production areas.

· Verify that materials are in conjunction with Job and Quality traveler prior to starting machine.

· Perform and accurately record quality checks during production.

· Ability to operate delicate quality testing instrumentation.

· Monitor production process and identify any quality process trends and correct as needed.

· Complete Non-Conformance Reports for defective products and materials.

· Communicate quality issues with Quality Control Manager and Production Supervisor.

· Inspect, verify, and document that finished goods meet established standards.

· Perform incoming inspection of raw materials to validate product meets specifications.

· Effectively communicate with production regarding adjustments needed to correct quality defects.

· Assist with preparation of documents during audits.

· Keep work area clean and organized.

· Perform any other duties assigned by Quality Assurance Manager or Quality Control Supervisor.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 Years of age.

High School Diploma or GED.

Certificate or experience in related field preferred.

Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

Must be able to work an 8 hour shift.

Excellent attention to detail required.

Must be able to work in a team environment.

Preferred tobacco manufacturing experience.
