Lake Beverage sells and distributes some of the finest beers, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages in the world.
We are currently accepting applications for an Accounts Receivable Representative. This position is primarily responsible for ensuring that customers' pricing and payments are made within terms by recording payments to customers' accounts and maintaining receivable records in the Beverage on the Web system. A/R Specialists also take phone calls from both customers and colleagues in our delivery and sales teams to assist with any questions or issues that arise.
Duties & Responsibilities / Position Role:
- Reconcile all invoices and posting payments made by customers to the accounts receivable ledger.
- Initiate daily sales reports and Delinquent Due list for salesmen to review
- Enforce NYS Liquor Authority rules and regulations. Follows up on customer defaults and releases from the NYS Liquor Authority.
- Compile and mail customer statements bi-weekly.
- Research accounts receivable phone and written inquiries, and resolves disputed issues.
- Maintain the Promotional Pricing file as well as everyday pricing exceptions on the computer.
- Obtain and mail invoice copies for customers and research customer claims of invoice payments in order to update accounts.
- Research and process charge-backs, returns, and NSF checks.
- Set up new accounts and update current license information in the computer as well as completing a daily Computer Control Report.
- Work with colleagues to take care of issues and special projects as they arise.
- Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
- Great attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
