About the Position
Responsibilities:
The Business Analyst works closely with the Chief Financial Officer to expand the credit union's products, services and investor relations. Periodically review products and services offered by competitors (both credit unions and banks), identify potential opportunities for LFCU and makes a recommendation as appropriate. Utilizes knowledge of business, finance, banking, technology and compliance to identify and flush out potential opportunities and solutions that best serve the membership while still working within risk parameters that protect the credit union.
The Business Analyst supports in business planning and analyzes to ensure project deliverables meet department requirements and deadlines. Gathers, organizes and evaluates data related to specific issues, programs or projects. May coordinate proposal preparation, implementation plans and monitoring system with other departments. Assists with the creation of the business plan documents and quarterly business plan reports. Assists with development and management of departmental budget. Provide administrative assistance to Finance Department when needed.
The Business Analyst aids the Chief Financial Officer, for whom they work, with tasks such as scheduling; reviewing, prioritizing, and responding to emails; answering and returning phone calls; organizing documents; maintaining records; taking notes at meetings and any other administrative tasks that help the CFO perform their job and be prepared for anything that comes their way.
The Business Analyst serves as the Finance Department liaison for Project Management. Coordinates with the CFO, Finance, Accounting, and Financial Operations on Project Assignments and team testing. Ensures that the Finance Department SMT projects remain on track and meeting packets are prepared by the meeting date. The Business Analyst also works with the Finance Department Managers to assist in the coordination of audits and exams.
