Labturbo Biotech LLC is Hiring a Laboratory Assistant Near Princeton, NJ

We are a growing biotech company based in Princeton, New Jersey that offers its employees excellent pay and full coverage health insurance.

The Company:

LabTurbo Biotech LLC is a biotech branch company that maintains, services, and sells molecular diagnostics equipment and kits that are manufactured by our mother company LabTurbo BiotechCorporation, located in Taipei, Taiwan.

We are opening our CLIA certified laboratory to offer high quality, consistent, and timely to the public via full procedure automation and good laboratory practice. We also perform research and development of new testing panels on the LabTurbo automation systems to bring innovative biotech products to the healthcare industry.

The Position:

Under the general supervision of the Laboratory Technician, the Laboratory Assistant is responsible for providing quality customer oriented laboratory services including specimen procurement, specimen processing and related specialized procedures, and service to effectively communicate information to users of the laboratory services in order to ensure the laboratory is able to operate efficiently and to successfully fulfill its mission.

●Full Time Position: 8 hours/day ,40 hours /week

●Shift : Day shift, varied shifts w/ every other weekend & holidays

●Pay Rate: $16-18 per hour

●Full coverage health insurance, including dental, for employment

Requirements:

  • Preferred Education: Associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology
  • Required Education: High School Graduate or GED required.
  • Work experience of at 1 years in biology laboratory as laboratory support technician with adequate laboratory training and experience will be a plus
  • Customer service experience and skills.
  • Must be reliable and dependable.
  • Must have the ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner.
  • Proficiency in computer use required. Previous experience with Microsoft Office in Window and Mac based environment.
  • Knowledge of equipment used such as iPhone, Mac, Windows.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English
  • Must have a valid Green Card or be a US Citizen
  • Must have valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities:

  • Perform specimen collection, receive and verify identification of specimens, label specimen, handle and process specimen according to laboratory policies and procedures.
  • Distributes specimens to appropriate lab sections within specific time frames.
  • Centrifuges and aliquots specimens, and follows all special handling instructions.
  • Processes, prepares, and stores specimens for send out to reference laboratories.
  • Prepares the workstation with all essential supplies to ensure smooth processing of specimens.
  • Daily cleaning/disinfecting of work area and supplies.
  • Assists in the pickup and delivery of specimens.
  • Posts all self- pay charges, collects payments, and provides patient with receipt. Accurately reconciles daily payments.
  • Scans the insurance card, processes insurance verifications utilizing the on-line system, and updates the patient account. Updates patient information including demographics, insurance, HIPAA forms and financial waivers. Enters orders for tests, following all appropriate workflows.
  • Effectively communicates problems, concerns, or issues to the supervisor appropriately and promptly.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills with patients, staff members, and phone customers.
  • Completes all appropriate logs for documentation and troubleshooting and communicates to supervisor.
  • Provide training and guidance to less experienced Laboratory Assistants.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
