Laborie Medical Technologies is currently searching for a Market Development Managerfor Gastroenterology to join our team.

Position Overview:

The Market Development Manager is responsible to develop and implement sales growth and market penetration in key direct and distribution markets internationally. Guided by the Global Business unit, the strategic plan and supported by downstream marketing and regional sales management related to the assigned portfolio and territory. This includes developing and executing the global marketing strategy, always in with the international business objectives. Core Focus it to develop commercial strategies to grow revenue in focus direct and distribution markets. Also ensuring the sales teams have the knowledge, tools, collateral, campaigns, and programs that generate demand and enable successful marketing and selling. The Market Development Manager will work cross-functionally to support the needs of stakeholders and customers. These include Sales, Commercial Operations, Finance, Training & Education teams, Marketing, Operations, Regulatory, Clinical, & Quality Affairs, among others, respectively locally, internationally, and globally.

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute business development plans guided by the marketing strategy and the assigned Laborie portfolio, in assigned territory.
  • Supporting the portfolio management to include full product life cycle in territory.
  • Submit monthly reporting, growth, key programs, tracking projects.
  • Produce market-specific value propositions, collateral, programs, initiatives, pricing, and training. Also lead cross-departmental/functional teams to create product-related results.
  • Build market intelligence. Identify and Monitor industry trends and competitor activities. 
  • Intelligent Price Management: Includes developing strategies, defining prices, communicating changes, managing prices in Laborie systems.
  • Collaborate with clinicians and colleagues in multiple areas including Sales, R&D, Global and International Marketing, Regulatory, International Commercial Operations, Training & Education, Medical Affairs, Legal, among others, to bring solutions to the market.
  • Lead product sales campaigns to create awareness and adoption. Work with cross-functional teams to develop baseline messaging and positioning, collateral, web presence, training, and support for planning and executing solutions.
  • Develop content for marketing and sales campaigns, including, but not limited to presentations, briefings, training materials, data sheets, video overviews, scripts, press releases, among others.
  • Build and maintain relationships with sales managers for our direct markets and key distributors.
  • Develop customers and key opinion leaders. Represent Laborie in customer meetings, trainings/in-services, conventions, etc.
  • Work closely with sales and customer support/service to competitively differentiate products and resolve issues/problems.
  • Co-organize and attend relevant trade shows and events, professional education programs.
  • Spend time in field with sales team and customers.
  • Monitor and manage expenses within budget.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in medical device marketing or product management
  • Previous experience in sales a plus
  • Significant international work and life experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or marketing. Advanced degree desirable
  • Strong analytical skills and track record in translating analysis into actions that impact business
  • Able to operate as a matrix manager in coordinating people and technical resources from multiple areas of the company
  • Able to operate without supervision, with excellent time management, decision making, and organizational skills
  • Team management experience with understanding of contemporary marketing ecosystems
  • Experience working with clinicians and KOLs
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influence skills
  • Must be team player
  • Demonstrable leadership skills desirable
  • Languages: Fluency in English and Dutch/French/Flemish
  • Willingness to travel
