Job OverviewLabella Associates, D.P.C. has an immediate need for a Project Manager in our Environmental division at our Brooklyn, NY office.

We are seeking an environmental entrepreneur who will assist the NYC Regional Manager in continuing to grow Labella’s multi-disciplinary office located in DUMBO, Brooklyn, NY. We are looking for an individual with experience performing Phase I/II ESAs, familiarity with OER e-Designation process, and performing investigation and remediation within the NYS BCP with the potential to become a seller-doer.
The Project Manager will manage existing clients and projects, network, market, and cross-sell, assist with recruitment, and help train and mentor junior staff. This is an opportunity for a smart and talented professional to perform in a role with enormous upside potential as part of a growing company.
Responsibilities - Manage environmental due diligence and I&R projects for existing clients and provide leadership and client coordination on BCP and E designation program management,
- Identify strategic initiatives for the NYC regional market and support efforts to develop a multidisciplinary regional practice.
- Identify key business development targets, help develop marketing approaches, and prepare proposals.
- Foster new client and service lines associated with real estate development.
- Provide oversight, direction, management, mentoring and open communication to environmental staff, and support recruiting efforts.
- Regularly track and communicate status of NYC regional regulatory and policy initiatives as it relates to business development and lobbying efforts.
- Establish and track project milestones as well as quarterly business goals.
Qualifications - BS degree in environmental science, geology, civil engineering, or related field; MS preferred.
- 5 – 10 years of professional environmental consulting experience.
- Possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be team oriented with strong capability to motivate others.
- Must be a highly motivated self-starter.
- Must demonstrate superior ability in collaborative problem solving with stakeholders, clients, and teammates.
- Possess technical knowledge and experience with NYC E-designations, and brownfield sites within various programs, including the New York City Voluntary Cleanup Program (VCP) and New York State Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP) as well as Superfund (CERCLA).
- Experience with in situ remediation and engineering controls related to groundwater, soil and soil vapor contamination.
- Experience in successfully managing interdisciplinary projects.
- Experience with teaming efforts related to RFPs and RFQs.
- Additional state certifications such as New York Professional Geologist (PG) a plus.
- Experience in managing other staff members.
