Schedule: Part Time. Shifts Vary. 8am-2pm, 12pm-6pm and 2pm-7pm

Pay: $16.30

SUMMARY

Performs assigned massage services to Club members and apartment guests. (Services will also be made available to guests of the La Jolla Shores Hotel, however, will be conducted in the La Jolla Shores Hotel guest room and not on Club property.) Promotes and follows LJBTC, Inc.'s Signature Service standards and requirements ensuring a lasting impression of exemplary service resulting in supremely satisfied and loyal members and guests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implements a variety of massage services for Club members and apartment guests.

• Provides in-room massage services for guests of the La Jolla Shores Hotel.

• Solicits member feedback and suggestions and reviews program requests with Massage Services Manager.

• Assists with massage room maintenance when needed.

• Provides quality service to members and guests that meets or exceeds expectations.

• Confers with members and apartment guests regarding programs and scheduling procedures.

• Arranges medical attention for an ill or injured members and/or apartment guests in accordance with company instructions.

• Other duties may be assigned.

OUTCOME

The Massage Services Manager will create positive member and guest impressions of the total organization by implementing a variety of massage services for Club members and apartment guests.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Must present certificate from the American Massage Association or related organization. Must have completed 1,000 hours of massage therapy training or be a certified Holistic Health Practitioner. Training in additional continuing education courses related to massage therapy recommended. (Must show certificates of completion of these programs.)

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively in English before guests, children, parents, managers, or employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

LMT/CMT certification and proof of current license required

INTERACTION

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will interact frequently with the adult members and apartment guests. This employee will also interact frequently with the membership services staff, tennis pro & tennis shop staff, front desk staff, food & beverage staff, catering staff and property service employees, as well as occasional interaction with the housekeeping and engineering staffs. The employee must have the ability to communicate and work effectively with both internal and external customers mentioned.

SCHEDULING

This company operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day. At times it may be necessary to move you from your accustomed shift if business or task assignments demand. In addition, it should be understood that business needs determine the number of hours that you work.
