Job Location: Norton Shores Production Facility - Norton Shores, MI
Position Type: Full Time
Salary Range: Undisclosed

Description

Responsible for performing testing of in-line and finished products ensuring samples meet specified requirements, swabbing tanks for cleanliness following CIPs, and other duties as assigned.

12 Hour Rotating Shift Schedule 5pm-5:15am 2 week days plus, every other Friday, Saturday & Sunday.

  • Perform in-line and finished product testing, including organoleptic and analytical testing
  • Perform ATP and allergen testing
  • Assist with microbiological plating
  • Be familiar with all SOPs of the lab
  • Maintain accurate and legible documentation
  • File and maintain retain samples
  • Calibrate, clean, and maintain lab equipment and area
  • Complete observations as assigned
  • Ability to think critically and address potential issues
  • Follow established programs, policies and GMP practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements
  • Applies knowledge of quality standards and tools to enhance food safety and quality
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications


  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Preferred education equivalent to a minimum of a 4-year degree in biology, chemistry, or a relevant field (or equivalent experience). Minimum education high school diploma or GED and one year of relevant work experience
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance, willing to work overtime as needed
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work with diverse teams
