Job Summary:
Will provide technology vision and leadership in the development and implementation of the organization’s health information technology (HIT) program and the Electronic Health Record. Will assist with LCDF’s strategic long-term goals, policies and procedures for the Information Technology Department. Determines the organization’s long-term systems needs and any hardware acquisitions needed to accomplish the organization’s business objectives. Gives technical guidance on high priority projects and orients LCDF to trends in information technology industry.
The Director of IT will lead the health care organization in planning and implementing enterprise information systems to support both distributed and centralized clinical and business operations, achieve more effective, and cost beneficial enterprise-wide HIT and IT operations. The Director of IT will provide senior level leadership, planning and managerial direction to the Health Information Technology (HIT) department. The Director of IT is also responsible for technology architecture strategies and provides leadership, planning and managerial direction to the organization as a key member of the management team.
Responsible for the development of functional or business unit strategy for the entire organization. Defines corporate vision and strategy establishes company direction and focus. Executes multiple high impact initiatives to achieve overall corporate goals.

Bachelor’s degree from accredited university, preferable an advanced degree in computer science business administration, health sciences or a health related field or equivalent experience. Experience as described above as senior level executive with extensive management experience within a healthcare environment preferably in an Ambulatory Care setting and in managing functions and departments dealing with information handling, work flow and systems, application development, business re-engineering, regulatory compliance and information security.
