L2T is Hiring a Human Resources Specialist Near Herndon, VA

Responsibilities

  • Conduct new hire orientation, provide benefits briefing, assist with and track enrollment progress using Benetrac system.
  • Manage annual open enrollment (OE), develop employee communications with senior HR manager and benefits broker. 
  • Conduct QA in Benetrac, verify rates and reference library, track all OE activities, and ensure enrollment deadlines are achieved.
  • Communicate with employees regarding 401K Plan details and eligibility and provide enrollment assistance.
  • Coordinate with benefits broker and carrier to resolve enrollment or claims issues.

HRIS Responsibilities

  • Develop and/or administer Canopy HRIS and data synchronization with Paychex Flex system.
  • Work with Canopy vendor to resolve data flow or reporting issues.
  • Ensure employee records in Paychex are updated according to accounting schedules.
  • Play a key role in educating new users, especially with custom reporting features.
  • Ability to master the system to assume leadership in implementation of supplemental modules such as Performance Management and future development efforts.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assimilate data for Affirmative Action Plan analysis and subsequent action plans.
  • Coordinate with AAP Consultant for plan development.
  • Actively participate in company-wide efforts to enhance diversity and inclusion – educate managers, employees, encourage them to take pro-active steps, etc.

Qualifications

  • Must have solid foundation of benefits programs and enrollment processes, linkage to payroll and to carriers.
  • Prefer experience with Paychex’ Benetrac systemExperience as Canopy HRIS Administrator or hands-on experience with similar system.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees and managers, must be well-spoken and be comfortable presenting data and knowledge.
  • Ability to follow through and resolve enrollment, benefits or HRIS data issues in a timely manner.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of directly related professional experience as an HR Generalist focused on benefits, HRIS and/or compensation.
  • Degree and SHRM certification are preferred but not required.
