Responsibilities

The candidate in this position will perform many duties including the following:

• Setting up, maintaining, and operate test automation and setting up frameworks, tools, manual scripts, and utilities on multiple application platforms
• Developing and implementing testing strategies, test conditions and creating test data for various projects
• Writing testing documentation and tracking defects and usability issues

• Documenting and presenting test results to project stakeholders
• Writing code and contributing to software applications

• Resolving issues and defects with deployed software solutions
• Adhering to an Agile process
• Participating in technical discussions
• Performing code reviews
• Validating the work of others
• Staying abreast of new and upcoming technologies

Qualifications

The candidate qualifying for this position will meet the following experiential requirements and will be able to demonstrate the depth of that experience during an interview:

• Conceptual knowledge of automated testing tools/frameworks/languages such as Selenium, TestNG, NUnit, Junity, JMeter, Karma, etc
• Working as part of an agile team utilizing Scrum or Kanban
• Deep experience developing test automation scripts for large applications involving microservices, web UIs and APIs
• Thorough understanding of QA concepts and quality standards for distributed applications and CI/CD pipeline processes
• Demonstrated strong coding and design proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Ruby
• Experience with a modern JavaScript framework (e.g., Angular, React, etc.)
• Fluent in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices
• Comfortable running Linux shell commands
• Self-motivated, quick learner with strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Collaborative and team oriented, working well with customers and colleagues at all levels
• Quality and Detail-orientated with good organizational skills
• Possess an extremely sound understanding in the basic areas of Computer Science such as object-oriented design
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Willingness and ability to be considered for a US security clearance

Preferred Skills

Ideal candidates will possess the following skills and be able to demonstrate their experience during an interview:

• Familiarly with open source technologies and software
• Familiarity with developing rich software applications and applications using RESTful services, JSON, and/or WebSockets
• Familiarity with security testing and load testing with Locust
• Knowledge of cross platform/browser compatibility issues for dynamic web applications
• Experience in building innovative and complex software
• Experience designing/building front end web software with HTML, CSS, Javascript, and general web development techniques

Education

The ideal candidate must have a BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
