Kyowa Kirin North America is Hiring a Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis Near Princeton, NJ

The North America organization includes two offices (in New Jersey and California) that focus on drug discovery, product development, and commercialization. Together, we work as a close-knit team to understand clinical needs and advance innovations that can have a profound impact on patient lives.

Summary of Job: 

The Senior Analyst will report to the Associate Director of FP&A. Key responsibilities include planning, budgeting, and reporting for commercial functions such as Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Commercial Operations, and Public Affairs. Support for net sales reporting is also required.

Essential Functions:

  • Planning, budgeting, and reporting for:
    • Market Access
    • Commercial Operations
    • Public Affairs
    • Sales & Marketing
  • Prepare Monthly Budget vs Actual areas of responsibility, documenting all significant variances
  • Work with business partners to manage spend and develop monthly accrual estimates
  • Create monthly accrual and prepaid accounting entries
  • Weekly reporting of net sales information using 3PL portal data
  • Collect/Track Variance information to help adjust quarterly Latest Estimate updates
  • Review and approve purchase requisitions from the business
  • Prepare and submit ad-hoc reports as needed
  • Become an expert on KKNA financial process and systems
  • Support ongoing / future system implementations, communicating directly with corporate organizations as needed

Job Requirements:

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field. CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.

Experience

Pharmaceutical experience strongly preferred. 5 years of FP&A, financial auditing, consulting, or operations experience with exposure to business partnering. Good technical accounting knowledge.

Technical Skills

Proficient in MS Office Suite, with strong Excel skills. Excellent IT skills and abilities – familiarity with current systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365, Tagetik) a big plus.

Non-Technical Skills

Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, meet deadlines, make decisions, and change course of action quickly. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong work ethic is required. Detail oriented and excellent follow through. Has the ability to flex and deal with ambiguity in a dynamic, fast-paced, high growth environment. Has a passion for personal learning and development to be able to grow with the company. Cultural sensitivity and ability to develop consensus within a multinational organization.

Physical Demands: Normal office environment with prolonged sitting and extensive computer work

Working conditions: Requires up to 5% domestic and international travel. Periodic evening meetings may be necessary due to time-zone differences
