Kyocera Document Solutions Development America Inc. is Hiring a Human Resources Generalist Near Concord, CA

Overview

Job Title: Human Resources Generalist

Division: Kyocera Document Solutions Development America, Inc.

Department: Human Resources

Location: Concord, California (Hybrid)

FLSA Status: Exempt

Reports to: Department Manager, Human Resources

A key contributor in an HR department of 2, to proactively support 170 employees in the day-to-day operations for two client groups, KDDA- Concord and Gardena. Performs tasks and operational support in all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, recruitment and talent acquisition, departmental development, and organizational development.

Responsibilities

  • Source, recruit, interview, and facilitate full cycle recruitment of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for open positions. Direct the efforts of the HR Coordinator in support of the full cycle recruitment process.
  • Act as a liaison with external counsel for all immigration related matters, with support from the HR Manager.
  • Manage the onboarding & new hire orientation process including, but not limited to, ensuring coordination with all necessary departments, educating newly-hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, other employment regulations and ensuring a smooth, positive experience.
  • Structure, revise and execute the employee performance review process. Guide management in evaluating employee performance accordingly.
  • With support from the HR Manager and HR Coordinator, ensure compliance in the administration and execution of department programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, performance management and leaves of absence; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; engagement, recognition and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries, complaints and grievances, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Manage employee disciplinary issues, investigations and terminations.
  • Guides management in taking appropriate disciplinary action. Escalates issues as necessary.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and audits policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Assist in development, implementation of, and adherence to, human resource policies.
  • Partner with management to develop and maintain a positive, rewarding, and collaborative culture.
  • With support from the HR Coordinator, creates and maintains physical and digital files for employees and all employment-related documents, including benefits, wage information, employee relations records, etc. Performs regular audits.
  • Manage all aspects of the off-boarding process including, but not limited to, ensuring coordination with all necessary departments, conducting exit interviews, ensure all company property is returned, etc..
  • Gather and analyze KPI data. Prepares reports as necessary.
  • Collaborate with outside vendors (recruiters, immigration counsel, etc.) as necessary.
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training.
  • Play a key role in being the liaison between our Corporate office in New Jersey and the client groups.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Potential for < 20% travel.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related degree.

PHR/SHRM-CP certification, a plus

5 years of relevant experience in the following Human Resources functions: Recruitment, Compliance, Employee Relations, Performance Management and Compensation; Benefits administration is a plus.

Functional human resources experience in both a large and small company desired.

Must have experience with ADP Workforce now and iCims ATS.

Solid knowledge of Federal, State and local laws/regulations, particularly in California

Positive, can-do attitude, and pleasant demeanor

Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality

Excellent technical skills, ability to learn new systems quickly and strong presentation and communication skills

Experience using ADP Workforce Now, with solid knowledge of Report writing

Develop and maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

Strong problem-solver with ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Exceptional attention to detail and ability to balance multiple assignments

Candidates must have: Knowledge of Employment Laws (Federal and multistate, particularly CA), in depth full cycle recruitment, best practices in onboarding and offboarding, and employee relations. Must have experience with ADP Workforce now and iCims ATS.

Would be nice if candidates have: Knowledge of Lattice and knowledge of employment laws of multiple states is a plus.
