Description

Kuubix is seeking a Solar Service Technician 3 in Stafford, TX. This position is responsible for installing batteries, main panel upgrades, commissioning systems, and service calls. On occasion, they will work with jurisdictions on inspections. The ideal candidate is versatile, adaptive, and has strong customer relation skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform service work on solar PV and battery residential systems
• Install Battery systems and commission systems as needed
• Knowledge in installing and commissioning solaredge and enphase products
• Knowledge in performing an MPU underground and overhead
• Perform MPU underground and overhead
• Needs to know how to derate main panel breakers
• Knowledge of electrical calculations
• Knowledge of NEC and local Codes
• Read, understand, and properly interpret single-line diagrams
• Assure quality of work produced meets or exceeds company standards
• Use time management skills to maintain daily workload
• Abide by city and county requirements while completing work
• Abide by OSHA and company safety requirements on all job sites
• Provide excellent customer service to all customers
• Perform pipe bending, MPU upgrades, and megger testing
• Assisting with overall installations
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Preferred: Journeyman license or residential wireman license
• Required battery certification
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background test and drug screening
• Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and over the age of 22
• Certification in Enphase, Tesla, Generac, and SolarEdge Solar and Battery equipment a Plus
• Higher education and additional certifications a plus
• Ability to travel throughout the greater DFW area and on occasion further
• Experience operating small equipment like skid steer and mini excavator is a plus
• Texas Journeyman license preferred but not required (min Texas Licensed Apprentice for 3 years)
• 3 or more years’ experience in a relevant position (Service electrical / Troubleshooting)
• Lead/Foreman experience
• Basic computer skills
• OSHA 10/30 certification
