Kuros Biosciences USA, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager, Finance to join the US finance team to support activities related to financial month and year end process in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP standards. Reporting directly to the Group Vice President Finance this is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated, forward-thinking individual to make a direct impact with a fast-growing international company. You will be responsible for supporting accounting, finance, and tax, as well as ensuring compliance with IFRS and US GAAP. The role will work collaboratively across the global organization to assist in projects and drive process improvement. The ability to roll up your sleeves to successfully drive the work to completion is critical.

The ideal candidate must be based in or around the Boston area and be able to work out of our Seaport Boston office at least three days per week. The specific responsibilities include:

• Developing, improving, and documentation of accounting processes, policies, systems, and controls
• Managing the timely and accurate completion of the accounting close to parent company
• Building the Kuros Biosciences USA, Inc finance department as the company grows.
• Recruiting and managing US Finance team members
• Responsible for journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations
• Manage an efficient and effective internal control system (IT, payroll, sales, purchases, fixed and intangible assets and other) tailored to the growth of Kuros Biosciences USA, Inc.
• Responsible for compliance of relevant laws and ordinances of Kuros Biosciences USA; Inc and to liaise with tax, legal and other departments, public offices, consultants, and auditors
• Lead the financial accounting processes, analyzing and reconciling general ledger accounts, controlling sales agreements and overdue balances, preparing financial calendar, and ensuring prompt payment of invoices to suppliers, vendors, etc.
• Reviewing the preparation and analysis of accrued expenses. Ability to work with other departments to ensure completeness and accuracy of accounting entries as well as efficient processes
• Research and resolve technical accounting matters in accordance with IFRS and GAAP
• Collaborating cross-functionally (Supply-Chain, Sales, Customer Service, IT) with other teams to operationalize and implement new systems and processes
• Managing the approval and processing of the semi-monthly payroll cycle
• Additional duties and responsibilities as required

EDUCATION AND SKILLS

• BS degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
• 5 years relevant accounting experience, ideally with a mix of public accounting and industry experience
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) highly preferred
• Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
• Experience with accounting functions and the financial closing process
• Ability to work with minimal direction from management
• Highly detail oriented with strong Excel skills
• MS Dynamics Navision or Microsoft Application (e.g. PowerBI) experience a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience and ability/willingness to work in a dynamic environment and perform a broad range of tasks
