Kumon North America seeks an Event Specialist who will exercise responsibilities in the planning, implementation, and execution of annual meetings and events taking place in-person and virtually. The Event Specialist will play a vital role in conference learning session content and serve as a liaison between various departments/committees, internal teams and outside vendors. The Event Specialist will possess strong interpersonal skills, excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize, multi-task and problem solve. The individual must be customer service focused and willing to participate in a collaborative team culture.Project management skills are key to this position.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, event management, business, communications, marketing or a related field requiredMinimum of 3 years of overall experienceCvent experience Responsibilities:Conference Presentation Management:Manage conference presenters: provide PowerPoint templates to presenters, create content deadlines, and ensure drafts are submitted by deadlines, collect content for conference website, collect AV/staging needs, format presentations for consistency.Develop overall “run-of-show” for conferenceCreate outline of emcee script and PowerPoint and work with emcees to finalizeReview, upload and test presentations for quality control and run-of-show notesDevelop rehearsal schedule and manage onsiteAct as stage manager during show onsiteVirtual Conferences Support:Stay on top of latest updates and features of Zoom and other relevant platformsCreate virtual events and ensure settings are appropriateCreate and manage breakout roomsPresentation backup and share videosRegistration and Survey Support:Assist in the build and updating of registration websites utilizing Cvent Registration SoftwareCreation of post-event surveysReview of survey results and creation of reports outlining resultsLogistical Support:Create and oversee conference audio visual needsCreate and oversee logistical setup for learning session meeting roomsCreation and implementation of on-site mobile event appPerforms other miscellaneous duties in support of conference
