Position Summary:

Business Development Executive will advance KSM Healthcare’s awareness and overall position in the marketplace by leveraging a consultative approach to client acquisition and client relationship development. With extensive knowledge of healthcare systems and operations, leveraging current and new C-Suite relationships, this key individual will develop and qualify prospective leads by educating the client on KSM Healthcare Solutions. This position will be responsible for establishing and coordinating business development strategy and execution in collaboration with KSM’s overall growth efforts. Through these activities, this individual will actively support and uphold the company’s stated mission and values.

Responsibilities:

  • Increase firm revenue by dedicating majority of their time to identifying target clients and establishing initial contact.
  • Lead development comes from research, partner or industry group targets, personal contacts, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with KSM’s Healthcare leadership team and Chief Growth Officer to create a business development strategy focused on growing our Healthcare practice.
  • Work with marketing on appropriate messaging to deliver predictable lead conversions.
  • Build momentum for KSM Healthcare by leveraging existing C-Suite relationships as well as develop and manage new relationships.
  • Assist partners/directors/managers in qualified lead generation.
  • After initial contact is made, schedule meetings with the target qualified client and the appropriate KSM Healthcare personnel to successful close on new client.
  • Available to assist on proposal development and strategy sessions.
  • Attend and create opportunities for networking functions and represent KSM at various healthcare events as a participant or presenter.
  • Track and monitor activity using a CRM database.
  • Build and manage an accurate pipeline that ensures achievement of personal revenue objectives and current year KSM Healthcare goals with foresight into future year achievement
  • Assist KSM in the furtherance of our geographic expansion goals.
  • Communicate back to internal groups the outcome of the negotiations/proposals focusing on conveying the expectations set forth for each group i.e., clear details, critical timeframes, and expectations.
  • Track and report on the status of all proposal components
  • Establish and maintain on-going client relationships with the various parties to anticipate and resolve potential problems. Participate in on-site visits.
  • Support other Business Development Team members in the compilation of ‘Out of Scopes’.
  • Participate in activities needed to support the management functions of the team.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in healthcare services, consulting sales, and client management.
  • Proven track record selling into the C-suite with an excellent win-to-bid ratio
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, science or other related disciplines or advance degree
  • A track record of continued professional development.
  • Understands the healthcare market – Broad understanding of healthcare operations and proven track record of qualifying quality leads
  • Professional integrity, credibility, and character. Passion for KSM’s mission and values
  • Ability to influence and persuade to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Self -Starter with strong analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel 50% to 75%
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills are a must.
