DOCTOR OF OPTOMETRY – SUBLEASE

Calling all conceptual thinkers, team players, and eyewear aficionados — KREWE is looking for an Optometrist to join our New Orleans team on Magazine St.

As a KREWE Optometrist, your job will be to ensure seamless integration of our Key Guest Experience into the eye exam process. By delivering impeccable customer service, optometric excellence, and effortless partnership with our team, you will play a vital role in the client journey. This is a special opportunity to operate your own sublease optometry office inside New Orleans very own eyewear brand. 

To be successful in this role, you should have great attention to detail and be able to treat all kinds of patients with kindness and discretion. You must be willing to be a supportive business partner, building a practice that supports both KREWE Optical and Optometry business growth. In support of this role, the equipment needed to provide a comprehensive eye exam will be provided. 

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and comprehensive eye and vision tests
• Accurately diagnose defects of the eye, such as myopia, astigmatism and glaucoma
• Provide personalized temporary and permanent solutions to vision issues based on each patient’s specific case and medical history
• Prescribe medications and corrective lenses as needed
• Advise patients on proper eye care techniques
• Keep updated and accurate medical records for all patients
• Book follow-up appointments in case re-examination is required
• Train patients on how to use and maintain their contact lenses
• Refer eye doctors and Ophthalmologists when patients need to undergo a surgery or in cases of severe eye injuries

Requirements and skills

• Degree in Optometry
• In-depth understanding of eye conditions and vision defects
• Hands-on experience with eye examination tools
• The ability to explain medical terms meaningfully and effectively
• Attention to detail
• Provide EMR platform and comply with all HIPPA and regulatory requirements
