Description
We are looking for a diligent staff accountant to join our accounting department. The position is a new position to the Company as we work towards insourcing our accounting needs from an outside accounting firm.
Staff Accountant Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assist with monthly close processes.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Maintain documentation for various subsidiary ledgers, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and treasury.
- Perform general bookkeeping and organize financial forms, documents and receipts.
- Respond to information requests and assist with audit preparation.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP.
- Assisting the controller as needed on other projects.
Requirements
Staff Accountant Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
- 2 years of accounting experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics NAV a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Working knowledge of GAAP.
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
- Good problem-solving and time management skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
