KPMG is currently seeking a Director, Ethics and Compliance to join our Americas Ethics & Compliance organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage a deep understanding of high-quality ethics and compliance programs to work collaboratively on the design, development and continuous improvement of policies, procedures, trainings, communications, and other elements of strong programs, to strengthen ethical culture and enhance compliance with laws and regulations throughout Latin America
  • Support and cultivate continuous improvement of internal investigations skills via monitoring, consultations and ongoing training development and coordination
  • Creatively partner with regional stakeholders to develop, rollout and share relevant ethics and compliance solutions
  • Deploy existing technical expertise and be willing to learn to drive forward collaborative and innovative technology solutions to address key areas of focus
  • Stay up to date on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards around the region
  • Report to and consult with the Americas Ethics & Compliance leader on material issues arising in the areas mentioned above or in the region in general, and take on additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum six years of recent experience in a corporate environment or leading law firm, or comparable government experience related to ethics and compliance, complex litigation, and/or internal investigations; direct experience working on Latin America-related matters and/or work experience bridging different legal and cultural traditions preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (J.D. or LL.M. from an accredited college/university a plus)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, team player, and ability to work well independently and in collaboration with others
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish; Portuguese language skills a plus
  • Client-service orientation with the ability to create effective working relationships cross-functionally, including interfacing with internal and external stakeholders on legal and business matters
