KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, Cloud Development to join our Digital Nexus organization. This is a remote work opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of engineers; handle Performance Management for direct reports, including developing/mentoring employees to build high performing teams; function as a primary client contact responsible for fulfilling project requirements; coordinate activities with IT management
  • Be accountable for project planning, scheduling, status reporting and project budgets; establish and analyze staffing requirements within guidelines; be responsible for implementing projects consistent with long-range IT plans and installation standards
  • Act as the primary contact for Cloud DevOps team within the Cloud Delivery organization; drive solution discovery and construction of application deployments into public and private clouds and estimate scope and timelines, and partner with other teams to drive solutions over the line
  • Proactively work with the team to identify technical problems, perform root-cause analysis, formulate solutions, and execute on the plan
  • Create templates and code to automate solution delivery and deployment into public and private clouds for a wide range of technologies across Windows and Linux platforms
  • Manage competing priorities in a fast-moving enterprise and thrive in a complex environment; adapt to constant changing environment and maintain deep technical and business knowledge of industry directions and trends in agile system development

Qualifications:

  • Minimum eight years of recent experience with automation technologies such as Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM (Azure Resource Manager), GitHub, Ansible, Salt Stack, Chef, Puppet, or similar
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
  • Strong scripting and task automation skills utilizing Python, Perl, Ruby, or PowerShell; demonstrated experience working with GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Octopus or similar CI/CD platforms and proficiency using Git to store and deploy code; experience with Azure, AWS or GCP
  • In-depth knowledge of the system development life cycle, the client’s area's functions and systems, and cloud development alternatives
  • Ability to translate cloud solutions architecture designs into code; experience managing and directing systems development or systems maintenance project teams
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, collaboration, analytical and presentation skills to lead an environment driven by customer service and teamwork; must be able to set goals and participate in strategic initiatives for a team; and foster the development of high-performance teams and interface with all levels of the organization; ability to participate in development of resource plans and structures and influence organizational priorities
