Job Description

The Construction Project Manager position will require extended travel and work throughout the Midwest (e.g. Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, Nebraska).

The Construction Project Manager is responsible for contract administration and job costing associated with managing projects. The Construction Project Manager will report to the Director of Contract Management and work closely with the Operations Manager. To be considered for this position, heavy highway construction experience is required. Responsibilities include:
 
Personnel:
  • Safety of all persons who come in contact with our projects.
    • Enforcing all Koss safety policies.
  • Development of assigned personnel.
  • Promoting compliance with Company Policies & Procedures Manual.
 
Equipment:
  • Maintenance of assigned equipment.
  • Monitoring company-owned equipment and truck utilization on projects.
  • Monitoring rented equipment and trucks on projects.
  
Contract Administration:
  • All schedule submittals required by the contract.
    • Analyzing and documenting the schedule impact of all occurrences causing delays or acceleration of a project schedule.
  • Project diary
  • Documentation of extra work in compliance with the contract and initiating change orders with Engineering.
  • Administration and execution of commitments included in plans, permits, and policies required for contract compliance associated with:
•  Traffic Control Plans 
•  Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans
 
Job Costing:
  • Documenting and reporting all project revenue.
  • Verify allocation of all project expenses to the proper accounts established during the budgeting phase, or established to accommodate an actual or proposed contract change.
    • This includes subcontract, labor, material, equipment, and miscellaneous expenses incurred to complete the project.
 
Quality Control:
  • Verify compliance with approved plans, certifications, permits, and policies that allow for contract compliance associated with Quality Control and Regulatory Authorities.
  • Analysis of contract incentives and disincentives applicable to company products, pursuit of maximizing these incentives within the project budgets, and disseminating results by Project.
 
Other:
  • Pursue involvement with professional and trade associations.
  • Maintain and foster professional methods and atmosphere.
