Primary Role and Responsibility:

• Maintain ownership of cost of goods sold and gross invoice margin.
• Work with operations to ensure standard cost is updated.
• Review and update allocations between product families
• Review and work with operations to ensure targets are met on gross invoice margin and related cost controls.
• Analyze payroll and contractor labor levels between product families in relation to production capacity.
• Analyze shipping and PPV variances and work with operations to understand discrepancies and work to identify corrections.
• Prepare necessary journal entries to properly allocate between product families.
• Inventory Management/Physical Inventories
• Teamwork with operations on management and control of physical inventories and cycle counts. Ensure proper control and processes are followed before, during and after inventory counts.
• Review inventory transactions, prepare FIFO Analysis, prepare E & O Analysis, other monthly closing procedures.
• Reporting
• Prepare monthly reports on variances and discrepancies from forecasted budget numbers in production, operation, and general costs in relation to cost of goods sold and other allocated costs.
• Various ad-hoc reporting on a monthly basis
• Various analysis and research for product profitability and resourcing costs.
• Process Improvements:
• Assist in identifying processes and procedural improvements in operations/accounting/software systems.

Skill and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in finance or accounting
• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in cost accounting and/or or general ledger accounting
• Strong financial analysis skill
• Advanced excel skills, including pivot tables, graphs, vlookups, sumif’s, etc.
• Detailed oriented person who works efficiently and accurately.
• Collaboration and experience working with teams.
• Netsuite experience preferred.
