KORE is Hiring an IT Manager Near Saint Charles, IL

Role Mandate: Responsible for managing information technology related activities of the organization including ensuring continuity of services for users through effective planning, technical leadership, and project management.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
  • Responsible for administering our Transportation Management System. Currently utilizing McLeod TMS.
  • Support and maintain our current O365 environment.
  • Working with IT partner, conduct quarterly system, network and data integrity audits to ensure security of data, network access and effectiveness of backup systems. Perform regular testing of systems.
  • Build collaborative relationships with vendors to ensure IT services are delivered seamlessly and cost-effectively to the business.
  • Responsible for creating and administering disaster recovery plans and back-up procedures that will keep the company functional in the event of a crisis. Work with vendors to reduce downtime thresholds.
  • Work closely with departmental managers to determine the maintenance and growth needs of the network.
  • Oversee IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages (i.e., upgrading company network software programs when an update is released).
  • Develop and implement IT polices and best practice guides for the organization.
  • Manage technology set-up process for newly hired employees including procuring hardware, configuring software and creating e-mail accounts, etc.
  • Assist with developing and managing IT budget. Forecast costs, equipment and resources required for projects, programs and IT operations.
  • Monitor ticket volume to identify trends and make recommendations to support company growth.
  • Serve as internal EDI Specialist for troubleshooting and escalation of issues.
  • Ensure effective practices, policies and procedures are implemented to mitigate cyber risk.
  • Maintain updated documentation of al IT related processes, procedures, vendor contacts and passwords.
  • Maintain current knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices.
  • Continuously analyze how technology can benefit the company and improve existing business processes. Integrate systems to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Assist with design of training programs and workshops for employees.

Qualifications

  • Prefer 3-5 years of progressive IT management experience in a in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment while delivering independent results.
  • Strong communication skills, including attention to detail and ability to communicate to all levels of the organization.
  • Superior ability to prioritize, multitask and problem solve.
  • Strong commitment to providing a best in class user experience.
  • Flexibility to travel between offices and be available outside of standard business hours.
