Kobe Aluminum Automotive Products is Hiring a CNC Machinist Near Bowling Green, KY

Night Shift

Purpose:

Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.

General Duties:

  • Verify integrity of data through the confirmation of sign offs on process documentation.
  • Maintain sanctity of the work space through the enforcement of 5s principals.
  • Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
  • Maintains safe operations by following safety procedures and regulations.
  • Sets-up mills and lathes by installing tools, attachments, collets, stops, vices, etc.
  • Maintains specifications by observing cutting, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting and reprogramming software.
  • Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements (PM), troubleshooting minor maintenance issues, and calling for repairs.
  • Accomplishes departmental goals by taking ownership of the machining process.

Skills:

  1. Required Education & Experience:
    1. Associate’s Degree in machining or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    2. High School Diploma or GED
  1. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    1. Ability to perform all assigned tasks, work independently, and complete work on schedule.
    2. Follow Supervisors/Foreman direction while displaying cooperative and positive behavior with co-workers.
    3. Ability to develop and execute a detailed daily plan.
    4. Strong Problems solving skills and efficient management of time and resources.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in metals manufacturing environment.
  • (3-5) Years past experience in machining or related field.
  • Previous CNC experience (operation/programming).

Physical Requirements:

  • Sit/Stand/Walk 8 hrs./day
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs.
