Requirements

• Training
  1. Coordinates with Food Service and Facilities team to ensure core competencies are reinforced on the job
  2. Provides hands-on teaching while working with students to accomplish daily tasks
  3. Makes sure all resident work evaluations are accurate and up to date
  4. Makes sure all resident time tracking is accurate and up to date
  5. Works with residents on interviewing skills, job preparation, and resume building
  6. Maintains open channels of communication with program staff to identify student needs and abilities
  7. Provides class room teaching on job skill related topics
• Demonstrated ability to establish respectful relationships with students, co-workers, and volunteers
• Helps residents with job applications and getting interview/work attire
• Ability to show mercy, be hospitable, and an example of servant leadership; working knowledge of appropriate boundaries
• Basic computer skills and ability to use MS Office products (specifically Word and Excel)
• Ability to give direction to others; high degree of flexibility and resourcefulness; team player
• All other assigned duties

Working Conditions

• Ministry campus facility where emergency rescue services are provided
• Exposure to stressful student situations requiring discernment
• Walking, standing, sitting, bending and lifting up to 30 pounds required
• Some travel required between KARM facilities and within the community
• Occasional required attendance at KARM meetings or special events, sometimes during evening hours
