The Business Systems Analyst’s (BSA) role is to define and plan enabling solutions for pharmacy programs after gathering and analyzing business and systems requirements. In partnership with the Director of Products and Solutions and/or Product Owners, the BSA and determines whether the request represents configuration or modifications.
The BSA works directly with customer-facing colleagues and pharmaceutical clients using effective communication and business acumen in tandem with a working technical knowledge of the company’s solution offerings. Success in this role requires a natural analytical way of thinking and must be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.
SDLC responsibilities include solution planning and User Story writing; requirements definition and documentation; facilitating development and testing; and preparing for the launch and operational support of the solution.
