Knickerbocker Group Inc is Hiring an Entry Level Financial Analyst Near Boothbay, ME

Knickerbocker Group is seeking an Entry Level Financial Analyst to join our finance team. If you have 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, job costing, payroll and/or reporting, then we want to hear from you! You must have a curiosity and aptitude for forensic accounting and software dissection, effective communication skills, and a collaborative team-based approach. Intermediate knowledge of Excel, and strong computer and software skills are vital. Exposure to Sage 100 Contractor and Liberty Reports is preferred, but not required. We will train the right candidate!

The ideal candidate loves and excels at what they do, will be excited about data mining and the opportunity to delve into and dissect all parts of Knickerbocker Group’s multi-faceted business, each with their own unique characteristics and challenges. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Assist our major accounting priorities: payables, billing/receivables, reconciliations, retail/procurement operations.
  • Help provide operational tools to department leaders that enable responsive action and forward-thinking adjustments.
  • Assist with developing comprehensive analytics that measure current performance and inform future corporate actions.
  • Support the budget-management process by monitoring, analyzing, and reporting financial accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Assist in creating financial models to analyze trends, make financial projections, and assess risk.
  • Assist in designing effective reports and presentations that support operations for design, construction, procurement, and property management.

 The ideal candidate:

  • has excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting

  • can work independently, meet deadlines, juggle multiple priorities, and adapt to change
  • is accurate and reliable in their attention to detail

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Coursework or direct experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, business, and/or business administration 
  • 3 years of direct experience preferred
  • Technical proficiency:
    • Microsoft Office required, including intermediate Excel
    • Accounting Software
