Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with employees and management.
• Serve as the on-site point of contact for employee requests and employee relations issues. Escalate issues as needed/required.
• Assist department managers with onboarding, training, performance management, development and employee retention.
• Counsel supervisors and managers on employee relations matters and participate in employee relations meetings.
• Conduct fair and equitable employment investigations and provide recommendations to the Director.
• Assist with injury reporting, workers’ compensation and safety related matters including compliance and education.
• Assist with facilitating annual open enrollment benefit meetings.
• Manage leave administration for facility in compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
• Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation to ensure organization's compliance and risk management.
• Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
• Participate in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
• Conduct work in compliance with OSHA and company safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Required and Preferred Experience:

• 2 years’ experience in an exempt, HR generalist role required
• Experience in a manufacturing or construction environment preferred
• PHR preferred.

• Must adhere to and maintain ethical business standards and make unbiased business decisions.
• Ability to perform the essential functions and physical demands of the position with or without accommodation.
