Calibration Tech

KLINGER GPI is looking for a salary, exempt, full-time (40 hours per week) Calibration Tech to add to our Odessa team. We will train you on our ERP system and give you all the tools that you will need to succeed. If you enjoy working with people, are good with a computer, mechanically minded and have excellent communication skills, this position is for you.

We are a 41-year-old company, with offices in the Texas Panhandle, West Texas, and the Gulf Coast of Texas, that distribute and manufacture gaskets, packings, seals, hydraulic tools to the oil and gas industry. If it leaks, we seal it.

A day in the life of a Calibration Tech

As a Calibration Tech, you will inspect, test, maintain and repair a variety of torque equipment and pressure gauges to ensure measurement accuracy. Maintain a clean and organized torque lab and operate a variety of equipment. You will be required to follow all procedures and policies so that all calibrations will conform to ISO 17025 industry standards. You will report directly to the Operations Manager, and don't worry, you will be trained in all aspects of the position.

What you need to be qualified for this position

We are looking for someone that has recent calibration bench experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry. PMEL training is preferred but not required. Experience with ISO 17025 is a plus. Someone with the ability to think creatively, take initiative, multitask, and manage projects under pressure. You must have a positive attitude that will align with our company culture. You need to be mechanically and mathematically minded and good with a computer, and again don't worry, we will train you in our ERP and Torque system. Attention to detail is crucial. You will be communicating with customers, vendors, and other team members in person, on the phone and through email. You will learn about our product line so that you have a well-rounded understanding of what we provide to our customers.

Pay Range

Depending on your level of experience, the pay ranges from $35k to 75k per year.

Work Schedule

This position will require you to work from our office in Odessa, TX, on weekdays during normal business hours (8am - 5pm). There will be occasional travel. You will also be in an on-call rotation.
