Step into Your New RoleThe ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Geology and 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering or geology consulting with extensive experience on infrastructure projects. P.E. license is required, and a G.E. designation is preferred but not required. Geologists with a PG (Professional Geologist) or CEG (Certified Engineering Geologist) are preferred. We are looking for someone with the ability to provide technical and field support on complex projects. On the job you would be expected to:- Coordinate with multidiscipline team to prepare proposals and execute projects
- Safely coordinate and execute field exploration programs, construction observation, and associated documentation
- Complete engineering analysis including: soil and rock classification; shallow and deep foundation capacity, immediate and consolidation settlement; slope stability analysis, seismic hazard evaluation (including liquefaction and lateral spreading), and earth retention systems
- Partner with internal and external multidisciplinary teams during project development
- Prepare Geotechnical Engineering reports
- Prepare construction specifications and drawings
- Be actively involved during the construction phase of projects
- Positively interact with client representatives.
- BS degree in civil/geotechnical engineering or geology
- Professional Engineer license. Geologists with a PG or CEG is preferred, but not required.
- 10 years of geotechnical/geological engineering experience.
- Positive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a multi-disciplinary environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Working knowledge of standard business software including MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Experience with geotechnical software packages including L-Pile, Uni-pile, SHAFT, gINT, GRL WEAP, GEO STUDIO, and MSEW preferred
- Clean driving record and the ability to pass a drug test required
Salary : $80,000 - $134,000
