We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team. Working closely with our development team, you’ll help to create and maintain automated processes for all aspects of our product. You will help to maintain the CI/CD pipelines and help to automate and maintain the customer onboarding process and the regular data ingestion processes.

Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to work with the team to create, maintain, and ensure compliance to the auditable controls necessary to properly secure our customers’ data. 

And if that’s not enough for you, you will also maintain our entire Azure infrastructure. You’ll create, maintain, and monitor our dev, test, and prod environments to ensure the highest possible uptime for our customers. 

This position is located in the Roanoke Valley, and we are looking for candidates who have a minimum of 3 years of DevOps experience, with experience in the Azure ecosystem preferred.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 

· Automation of company processes, such as daily ETL, software deployments, infrastructure monitoring and alerting, etc., either using built-in Azure functionality or available scripting environments 

· Automation of customer processes, such as packaging and transmission of report files, either using built-in Azure functionality or available scripting environments 

· Designing and maintenance of operational infrastructure 

· Assisting with adherence and auditing of security controls to maintain SOC 2 certification 

· Protect our customers data with continuous security practices and monitoring 

· Work collaboratively with multiple teams to help deliver end-to-end products
and features, seeing them through from conception to delivery 

Requirements

Educational Requirements: 

· BS or BA in computer science, business, or equivalent is preferred 

Experience Requirements: 

· 3 years’ experience working in an operational engineering role, Azure experience preferred 

· 3 years’ experience working as an integral part of a software engineering team 

· Past experience working with a complex data ingestion and ETL process 

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent judgement, analytical thinking, communication, and problem-
solving skills 

· Patience when handling tough cases 

· Experience implementing CI/CD 

· Awareness of critical concepts pertaining to DevOps and Agile principles 

· Networking fundamentals

· Experience with configuration management/infrastructure-as-code tools 

· Proficiency in scripting languages including PowerShell 

· Proficiency in Database Administration to include Microsoft SQL Server 

· Configuration experience working with Cloud Service Providers – Microsoft
Azure preferred
