The Physical Therapist is responsible for planning, organizing, developing and directing Physical Therapy Services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by the director of rehabilitation, to assure that the highest degree of quality Resident care can be maintained at all times.

Here are a few of the responsibilities and tasks that are expected of our Physical Therapist daily:

• Review and evaluate physician’s referral and patient/Resident’s medical records to determine physical therapy treatment required.
• Plan and prepare written treatment program based on evaluations of available patient/Resident data.
• Confer with physicians and other health practitioners to obtain additional patient/Resident information, suggest revisions in treatment programs, and integrate physical therapy treatment with other aspects of patient/Resident care.
• Record patient/Resident treatment, responses, and progress.

Required Skills:

• Ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position as stated in the job description

Required Experience:

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy.
• Preferred two years’ experience in a therapist capacity.
• Licensed Physical Therapist with a current license in good standing.
