Overview

Scope of Responsibilities: Oversees the operations of various employees when their work relates to areas defined in the job responsibilities listed below. Responsible for interacting with internal and external stakeholders, estimating personnel needs, meeting completion dates, as it relates to areas of responsibilities.

Job Summary: Provide our employee owners with IT services necessary to perform their jobs, through the installation, management and maintenance of physical and virtual servers, cloud services, backup services, Active Directory management, and occasionally working with network related equipment and services.

This position can be based out of Syracuse or Gouverneur, NY. This is not a remote role.

Responsibilities

Job Duties:

• Administer a Windows Server environment through Active Directory, Group Policy, etc.
• Administer Microsoft cloud environments including Office 365, Sharepoint, Azure, etc.
• Fluently administer cloud based and on-premise email environments.
• Provision, monitor, and maintain physical and virtual server environments.
• Manage physical equipment including servers, blades, SANs, tape drives, etc.
• Ensure the security of company data and systems through the hardening of systems following industry best practices, assist with regulatory compliance efforts.
• Ensure the reliable backup of critical company data.
• Have a basic understanding of MS-SQL database environments.
• Design and test disaster recovery systems.
• Maintain licensing compliance.
• Vendor management.
• Provide secondary support for telecommunications services, routers, stateful firewalls, switches (including vlans), wireless infrastructure, etc.
• Understand existing technologies and new technology trends.
• Needs to be able to work a flexible schedule (evenings, night work, etc.).
• Participate in an on call rotation.
• Other various duties as required.

Qualifications

Education:

• Associates degree or equivalent real-world experience.
• MCSE or similar certification is preferred but not required.

Experience:

• Two to five years working with networks, servers and communications technologies is preferred. This is not an entry level position.
• Must possess knowledge of security concepts applicable to this role and function.

Compensation:

$57,242-$58,171 Annual

The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years of experience and education.
