King Tech has an immediate opening for a Senior Network Engineer to lead a 5–6-person engineering team. As the Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting development and maintenance of network communications.

Position Summary/Description:

Design, integration, analysis, troubleshooting, documenting, programming and operation of computer equipment and networks, including Sun Microsystems/UNIX, ATM, and Cisco routers. Networks include the SATCOM, RF, microwave, fiber optic, and baseband components. Excellent compensation including full benefit package.

Essential Duties:

• Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and evaluation of network systems and communications.
• Troubleshoots the complex network issues.
• Supports the implementation and design of hardware and software.
• Monitors the performance of systems.
• Conducts network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies.
• Develops and reviews designs, technical reports and correspondence including letters and messages.
• Ensures specifications and design meet performance requirements of proposals, and security documents.
• Verifies Installation Design Plans (IDPs)/ and drawings.
• Must have extensive experience with Internet, computer, routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Must have experience supporting DOD Network Systems within military Command, Control, Computers, Communications, and Intelligence (C4I) Systems.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. 
• Ability to lead and direct the work of others when required​.
• Extensive experience using judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Creative thinker, good multi-tasker, works well independently.

Qualifications Required:

• DoD Secret Security Clearance
• DoD 8570.01-M Baseline IT Level I and IAT Level II certifications
• Bachelor’s degree in an information technology discipline.
• 5 years of experience
• MCSE Certified
• Sun Microsystems certification
• CCNA certification
• Security CE Certified.
