Kimley-Horn is Hiring a Structural CAD Designer Near Alpharetta, GA

Overview

Our Alpharetta office is looking for a Structural Revit Designer with 3 years of experience to join our structures team.

Responsibilities

This individual will be responsible for structural design/drafting assignments requiring advanced working knowledge of structural design/drafting standards, practices, and techniques in building structural, site structural, and heavy structural elements in concrete, masonry, steel, and wood.

Qualifications

  • Developing Construction Documents (modeling, sheet setup, annotation, etc.) using Revit and/or AutoCAD under the supervision of Project Manager/Engineer.
  • Utilize BIM360 to host models and coordinate with clients.
  • Proficient in Revit and/or AutoCAD
  • Proficient with working in both paper and model space and with x-references, blocks, and sheet sets
  • Works collaboratively in a team environment of Engineers and other CAD Technicians and with minimal supervision.
  • Experience completing structural projects from initial concept, through the planning process, and implementation.
  • Is familiar with multidisciplinary projects and is able to coordinate/communicate with other disciplines on items related to the structural design.
  • An Associate’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Architectural Technology, or equivalent is preferred
  • At least 3 years of previous experience designing/drafting structural systems
  • Excellent attention to detailing of structural components
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter.
