Overview

Our Kansas City, MO office has an exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineer/Project Manager to join our Transportation team.

Responsibilities

We're seeking a motivated project manager to join our Roadway team to help us produce Transportation projects. This is an excellent opportunity with an industry leader, working on exciting projects in the Kansas City area. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and an interest in marketing/serving clients, as well as a desire to eventually lead their own practice and manage a team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degreefrom an accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering
  • PE certification 
  • Six or more years of experience working on the design of roadway projects
  • KDOT, MoDT and/or Municipal experience desirable
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external partners including clients, sub consultants, and utility companies
  • Experience preparing final design plans, specifications and construction cost estimates
  • Knowledge of MicroStation GEOPAK
  • Design experience on horizontal and vertical alignments, streetscape and roadway improvements, multimodal design and signage. 
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
