Kimley-Horn is Hiring a Power BI Developer Near Phoenix, AZ
Overview
Kimley-Horn, one of Fortune Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For,” is looking for a Power BI Developer to join our Phoenix, AZ office.
This position works closely with business users and other technical teams within the firm to expand data delivery capabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience with Power BI, as well as an intermediate understanding of database structure and general data modeling. Applicants should be professional, self-motivated, and have a passion for providing high-quality support.
This is an in-office position.
Responsibilities
- Work with users to design reports based on business requirements
- Source data needed for reports and work with the data team to incorporate into the data warehouse and models
- Create reports in Power BI desktop to be published to Power BI Service
- Validate the accuracy of reports
Qualifications
Required Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science Technology, Information Technology, or related field
- 1 year of relevant experience
- Power BI dashboard and report development (Desktop and Service)
- Data modeling
- Relational database structure and design
- DAX
- M language
Preferred Experience:
- T-SQL on SQL Servers
- Excel and Power Queries
- Data Warehouse and Data Lake
- Data Extraction Loading and Transformation (ELT/ETL)
- SSAS Tabular on-prem or in the cloud
- Visual Studio or equivalent software
- Azure Data Factory / SSIS
- Experience with other Microsoft Power Platform programs (Power Apps, Power Automate)
- GIT source control
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in a corporate environment
- Experience working with remote teams
- IBM Cognos Analytics
Travel Requirements:
- Occasional travel required
Office hours are 7:30am - 5:30pm Monday - Thursday and 7:30am - 11:30am Friday.
