Kimley-Horn is looking for an hydrogeologist with 2 or more years of experience to join our team in Fort Myers, FL!

Responsibilities

This candidate will support various assessment and hydrogeology projects, including well design, permitting and services during construction, along with groundwater resource investigations. The candidate will be a part of a team for completion of soil and groundwater sampling, aquifer performance testing and data evaluation, environmental compliance, observation of well construction, report writing agency coordination, and permitting.

Ideal candidates will have knowledge and experience in one or more of the following: Southeastern U.S. hydrogeology, well construction and aquifer testing, field investigations, regulatory compliance and reporting, and other specialties.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Geology or related fields
• 2 or more years’ relevant experience
• Possess experience with aquifer performance testing and data analysis and working with water management district staff
• Possess strong technical writing skills and have experience writing detailed technical reports
• Enjoy working in both an office environment and in the field
• Willingness and flexibility to travel for projects as needed
• Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
• Desire to provide exceptional client service
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to enjoy work independently and on a team
• Valid driver's license required
• Experience with water use permitting rules and regulations
• Practical experience with geographic information systems (GIS), specifically ArcGIS and/or AutoCAD
• Ability to be licensed as a Professional Geologist in Florida
