Known as one of FORTUNE’S “100 Best Companies to Work For,” Kimley-Horn is seeking a Environmental Planner to expand our multi-disciplinary environmental planning team in Sacratmento, CA.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have experience preparing California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) documents, environmental impact reports, negative and mitigated negative declarations, Specific Plans, Master Plans, and other environmental or planning policy documents in support of a full range of infill and/or land development related projects. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Planning or relatable field
• At least 5 years of experience conducting environmental studies for local agencies and private entities
• Experience with a wide range of tasks related to environmental planning.
• Understanding of the agencies involved with the CEQA process and as well as California Land Planning Law.
• Experience with NEPA compliance is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Positive attitude and an impressive work ethic
• Clear sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and ability to contribute to a positive work environment

Base Salary Range: 

$84,000 - $117,000
