We are looking for a Personal Injury Paralegal for our medium-sized law firm. The job is challenging, but fulfilling and rewarding, if you enjoy helping others. You will be responsible for managing a client caseload and acting as a liaison between the client and the assigned attorney. You will be trained to perform your duties and on the relevant procedures. An ideal candidate should have a positive attitude, the ability to work individually and in a team setting. You should have a professional demeanor, compassion, good written and verbal communication skills, and solid word processing skills. The ideal candidate will have the ability to plan, pay attention to detail, work efficiently under deadlines and take initiative. Pay is commensurate with experience and qualifications. The job will likely include annual pay raises. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities
· The responsibilities include working closely with one or more of the firm's attorneys on a variety of personal injury cases. A typical personal injury caseload will be comprised of pre-litigation and litigation cases. Candidates will be responsible for calendaring deadlines, ordering medical records, sending written discovery requests, trial preparation and acting as a liaison with the firm’s clients.
Experience: Individuals with prior case management or paralegal experience are preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Education: Four-year degree from an accredited college or university or a paralegal certificate
Compensation: Standard pay range for a paralegal is $45,000 to $75,000 annually ($21.63-36.05 per hour), depending on experience. Pay increases available as seniority accrues. Benefits offered to full time employees:
