The Gables in Cookeville is seeking a dependable, honest and friendly cleaning professional. Primary duties for this role involve cleaning apartments for unit turnover and the common areas of the property. Some knowledge of general repairs and is painting required. A vast portion of this position requires cleaning apartments before turnover to a new tenant, so attention to detail is a must. The ideal candidate possess the highest level of honesty and integrity, in addition to being skilled in time management and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform apartment turnover cleaning which may include cleaning appliances, fixtures, ceramic tile, carpets, and painting.
• General cleaning duties including vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping; painting; washing walls, windows and sills; dusting and polishing; cleaning upholstery; cleaning and disinfecting restrooms and trash rooms.

• Monitors and takes inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Assists with trash removal and maintaining property’s appearance.
• Assisting maintenance staff as required and other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Detail-oriented and thorough.
• Ability to work patiently, professionally and cooperatively with tenants and staff.
• Sufficient ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English to complete work efficiently, effectively, and courteously.

Experience:

• Minimum of six months of professional cleaning experience.
• Education sufficient to read, write, and speak as needed for the job.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing and walking and frequently pulling, pushing, and bending.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds at times.
