Business Development Specialist

The Business Development Specialist is responsible for increasing sales pipeline for KeyMark through the metric of Sales Qualified Leads. The role focuses on nurturing inbound and outbound leads by understanding KeyMark’s products and services and matching the needs of a prospect with KeyMark’s capabilities. Candidate will rely on KeyMark’s existing CRM and prospecting tools (primarily HubSpot, Vidyard, and Seamless AI) and process guidelines to perform the basic functions of the job and will be required to exercise independent judgment.  Daily communication with marketing, sales representatives and end-user prospects required. Other responsibilities inbound phone calls, monitoring LiveChat on the website, email correspondence, data entry, lead qualification, lead follow up, and reporting.


Essential Duties & Specific Responsibilities

  • Entry-level sales duties
  • Consistent outbound calls and emails to pre-qualified database
  • Comprehend and orchestrate content to prospects in multiple industries and roles
  • Discuss and determine budget, authority, needs, and timeline for prospective projects and work with the Sales team to set appointments
  • Create outbound emails and voicemail scripts that will effectively nurture prospects through the decision funnel
  • Ability to qualify leads based on marketing and sales Service Level Agreements
  • Prompt response to all inquiries
  • Attention to detail by keeping updated  records in the CRM of activities and conversations
  • Assist sales/marketing in pursuing a high-quality customer journey while nurturing a prospect through the sales cycle
  • Establish and maintain project and information workflow, seeking information, approvals, and resources needed to maintain time, budget, and content requirements
  • Navigate the internet to quickly append data
  • Interact and communicate successfully with individuals and teams across all areas with the flexibility to adapt to changing objectives
  • Must educate yourself on product offerings along with the dedicated training resources provided
  • Assist with RFPs KeyMark responds to
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications & Background

Education & Certifications

  • Prior experience in a customer service, call center, and/or inside sales environment preferred but not required
  • 2-year degree minimally preferred but not required

Knowledge & Technical Skills     

  • Full understanding of leads in relation to sales
  • Computer literacy with a proven understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and search engine functionality.
  • Data entry into customer database
  • Adept at use of Internet
  • Time management based on an understanding of your lead pipeline
  • Continuously seeking educational opportunities to grow technical skills and knowledge
  • Knowledge of NetSuite and HubSpot is a plus

Travel Requirements

To complete the job responsibilities and duties described previously, the Business Development Specialist may be required to travel on business a certain percentage of working time, as indicated below.

  • 10% - 25% 

Special Working Conditions

  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for long periods of time.
  • Work location may be split between corporate offices and remote.

Additional Information

  • Rare times where the role has weekend hours of work.
