Position Title: General Laborer

Position Reports to: Foreman

Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Career Level: Hourly (non-exempt) entry – mid-level

Salary: Full Time, Hourly/Non-exempt $17 -$21/hr. (DOE)

Schedule: 4-10 Schedule Monday – Thursday

Job Function: Under General supervision, a General Laborer is responsible for performing various tasks to aid daily operations at a construction site. Their duties include loading and unloading tools or raw materials, maintaining a clean, safe and efficient construction site while also supporting the overall project. These tasks are often carried out simultaneously, so the ability to multitask is necessary. This also requires the capacity to maintain an even-tempered disposition and remain calm under pressure.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

· Loading and unloading various material and equipment.

· Cleaning job site, homes, storage areas & other cleaning duties as assigned by supervisor.

· Assisting various trades and teams with daily tasks.

· Using equipment such as (forklifts, scissor lifts, pallet jacks & other Equip.) to preform essential job duties.

· Assisting Foreman on day-to-day operations on various jobsites & facilities.

· Receiving & unloading deliveries of material, tools & equipment, signing & filing all provided documentation.

· Assisting in inventory control, including inventory counts, inventory rotation & inventory organization.

· Providing additional support to the shipping and logistics team on delivery days and crane set days. ( Moving cribbing, flagging trucks & un-wrapping homes)

· Occasional demolition to support remodeling.

· Securing storage containers and jobsite when needed. ( Verifying locks are in place and secure, doors & windows shut and locked on homes)

· Providing any additional information, suggestions, and support to Foreman.

· Abiding by all KS safety policies and procedures.

· Performing any additional job duties that are assigned.

Experience and Skills:

· High School diploma or GED equivalent

· Previous construction or carpentry experience preferred

· Basic tool knowledge

• Ability to work within a team or independently as needed
• Ability to complete projects independently
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
• Must be able to lift to 25 pounds / 50 with 2 person lift

In addition to the base wage amount for this position, team members are eligible to earn an additional incentive. Eligibility and the amount of the incentive varies based on the terms and conditions of the incentive plan.

Eligibility and the amount of the increase varies based on individual performance and annual year-end evaluation, overall company success, market/industry wages and terms and conditions of the Company’s policy for the respective year.
