Job Overview

The Bottler Activation Manager / Capabilities will be dedicated to supporting the IPSO System and will report to the Senior Director of Commercialization and Operations. The Bottler Activation Manager / Capabilities primary objectives include customizing and embedding KDP brand initiatives into the bottler’s commercial processes, driving alignment and accountability with bottlers and IPSO team members, while training and coaching the IPSO sales teams on the best techniques to selling in new products, innovation, displays and/or marketing programs.

Additional responsibilities include driving and publishing monthly priorities for IPSO (account and brand driven), 90-day overviews of upcoming NRS activities, “looks of success” with display, cooler schematics, retailer academies, merchandising standards, etc. for KDP brands within their specific bottlers, as well as communicate aligned commercial plans through all levels of field sales and bottler organization (MU/Branch level commercial and sales leads).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and align IPSO on commercial strategies, ensure flawless communication of these commercial strategies to the IPSO field for accounts under responsibility.
  • Drive cross functional alignment with internal stakeholders (brand, commercial and national key accounts teams) on communications to the IPSO field for accounts under responsibility.
  • Coordinate IPSO support of retail activation priorities – team to publish account/channel priorities each month to the ISO sales teams for accounts under responsibility.
  • Coordinate quarterly collaborative strategic planning sessions with internal stakeholders (retail and commercial teams) under responsibility.
  • Contribute to ILC planning including aligning agenda and meeting cadences with IPSO leadership, coordinating invites to key stakeholders, coordinating with internal stakeholders on content and processes (national key accounts, brand, commercial, supply chain, etc.) publishing meeting notes and close feedback loop with all key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to IPSO National Sales Meeting agendas, attendance, and planning with key stakeholders (ISO Leadership, Corporate Events, Commercial)
  • Contribute to Joint Business Planning processes for ISO including publishing trimester templates, collaboration with ISO Analytics Team on standardized data, and ensuring that BAM Teams help lead JBP processes locally with field sales teams.
  • Anticipate future demands of the business and work with Center of Excellence (COE) and field teams to design and implement solutions to meet those demands.
  • Training and coaching the IPSO sales teams on the best techniques to selling in new products, innovation, displays and/or marketing programs. Work with divisions to ensure fair share of displays utilizing IRI tracking
  • Analyze monthly sales reports to identify opportunities, assess underperforming brands or accounts for potential loss of distribution; Collaborate with divisions to create action plans utilizing new selling techniques to close gaps
  • Direct and support Field Sales Team with monthly planned working visits utilizing SMART objectives to improve market execution
  • Collaborate with NRS to develop and/or implement NRS University learnings into field selling; Leverage SME’s to ensure that KDP field sales and bottler sales are maximizing sales within NRS outlets

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of CPG sales, or sales support experience
  • Minimum 3 years management experience
