Kershner Trading Group is a technology-driven, diversified proprietary trading firm, based in Austin, with offices in NY, Chicago, and London. Kershner trades a broad range of asset classes, instruments, and strategies in financial markets globally. The firm provides capital and infrastructure to in-house quantitative and discretionary traders.

Kershner is seeking talented Senior Software Engineers to contribute to their core trading system, including application frameworks, gateway systems, messaging APIs, and core data structures. Ideal candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a low latency environment, working in a trading environment, and have a solid grasp of the financial markets. Experience with US equity markets (market data feed handlers or FIX interfaces) is required. They should be based in Austin, Texas, and possess strong collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Senior Software Engineers manage and participate in the software development lifecycle, develop, and enhance trading systems, and work closely with technology and operations teams. As a member of Kershner Trading Group's team, you will have the opportunity to work in an active, fast-paced environment where your work and contributions will directly affect the success and performance of Kershner.

Kershner is looking for 2 senior level engineers to lead market data and order handling (respectively).

Minimum qualifications include:

- 5 years of professional experience

- Experience with FIX protocol or market data feed handlers

- Strong proficiency in cross platform C and python

- Experience with Linux and Windows

- Strong troubleshooting, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

Preferred qualifications include:

- Computer Science degree

- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and NoSQL

- Knowledge with development tools including git, Visual Studio, and CMake

- Experience with low latency systems
