We are looking for a qualified individual to assist the Service Manager in day to day operations of the Service Department, and to oversee and facilitate the acquisition, purchase, delivery and installation of parts and service.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Directly Manages Service Office staff, schedules and time off. Ensuring proper coverage, excellent customer service and provides direct support of Service Office staff.
2. Maintains service training certifications of all location technicians and support staff and maintains self-training.
3. Participate in Leadership, planning and coordinates department safety meetings.
4. Serves as the safety coordinator for the Service Department and on the safety committee.
5. Maintains interpersonal relationships with all staff ensuring sales and customer service goals are met. Participates in team development and team building.
6. Maintains department tooling and equipment maintenance including mobile service vehicles.
7. Coordinates with Service Manager and office staff to resolve unpaid cash invoices, Fleet Services Disputes and customer issues in a timely manner focusing on customer retention.
8. Assists with management and execution of Technician Internship Program. Maintains records for Intern technicians.
9. Manage overall shop productivity and technician efficiency, focusing on increasing both, working one on one with bottom 10% to improve efficiency.
10. Understand the requirements of the Premier Care Gold program and assist in coordinating staff to meet the requirements.
11. Be available, via phone, to staff on shift after hours, except in the event of scheduled PTO or illness.
12. Assist in departmental purchasing and vendor payables processing.
13. Performs additional duties as necessary
 
QUALIFICATIONS
 
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
Working understanding of truck repair and maintenance.
Good judgment and problem-solving skills.
Excellent computer and customer service skills required.
Ability to think and make decisions in a busy environment with success.
Previous leadership experience in the industry preferred.
Bilingual individual desired.
